What makes Volleyball scoring different
Since 1999 every rally produces a point, whichever side served. That change alone cut match length by roughly a third and made the serve a genuine weapon rather than a formality — a server on a run can take five points before the opponent touches the ball meaningfully.
The most common Volleyball scoring mistake
The fifth set is played to 15, not 25 — and tables that keep counting to 25 in a decider are the most frequent scoring dispute in club volleyball. The two-point margin still applies, so 15–14 does not end it.
