Coinche Bidding and Scoring Rules
Coinche is belote with a bidding auction on top. The cards score identically — what changes is that you announce in advance how many points you intend to make, and the table can challenge you.
The auction
- Bids start at 80 and rise in steps of 10, each naming a trump suit.
- A bid of 160 claims every point in the deal.
- Capot claims every trick, and is worth 250.

Scoring the deal
The taking team must reach its announced total, counting card points plus any announces. Make it and both the contract value and the points scored are credited. Fall short and the team scores nothing while the defenders take the contract value plus 162 — which is why coinching a shaky bid is so profitable.
